Bondex® T90 is a hydrophobically modified alkali-swellable emulsion (HASE) designed to provide superior rheological control in water-borne systems. Its emulsion form ensures easy incorporation and high thickening efficiency at moderate shear rates, delivering the ideal balance between sag resistance and levelling.
Key Benefits:
-
Excellent anti-settling and syneresis control
-
Enhances sprayability and flow properties
-
Retains gloss and surface smoothness
-
Improves block resistance and washability/scrub resistance
-
Compatible with multiple resin systems; can partially or fully replace HEC
Applications:
-
Decorative and industrial water-based paints
-
Alkyd, polyester, and epoxy emulsions
-
Adhesives and sealants
-
Printing inks and coatings
Typical Properties:
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Appearance | Milky white emulsion |
| Solid content | 29.0 – 31.0 % |
| Viscosity (Brookfield, 30 °C, 2/20 rpm) | ≤ 300 cps |
| pH | 2 – 4 |
Incorporation:
Bondex® T90 can be added during both the grinding and let-down stages. For optimal thickening performance, maintain system pH above 8. The product achieves approximately 90 % of its final viscosity within one hour, ensuring excellent sag control and flow balance without compromising gloss.
Storage & Handling:
Store in a poly-lined plastic or stainless-steel container, away from direct sunlight and contamination. Always reseal tightly after use and follow FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices. Avoid mixing with other binders without prior compatibility testing.
Coapur 830 W HEUR Polyurethane Thickener
Product Brochure
| Color | Milky White |
| Usage/Application | Industrial |
| Grade Standard | Industrial Grade |
| Physical State | Liquid |
| Brand | Arkema |
Coapur 830 W is a non-ionic associative polyurethane (HEUR) thickener developed by Arkema’s Coatex division for use in waterborne coatings and formulations. It provides excellent rheology control, balancing low-shear and high-shear viscosity to ensure smooth application, good leveling, and sag resistance. This product is designed to deliver a high-quality surface finish with improved film build, uniform appearance, and optimal open time during application by brush or roller. Its non-ionic character allows broad compatibility with various latex binders, pigments, and additives, making it suitable for decorative paints, varnishes, primers, and waterborne industrial coatings. Coapur 830 W is effective at low dosages, helping reduce formulation costs while maintaining consistent performance. It is APEO-free and low in VOC, meeting environmental and regulatory standards for eco-friendly formulations. Typically appearing as a milky white liquid with a solids content of about 22%, it is easy to handle and disperse. Recommended use levels generally range from 0.3% to 1.5% (on total formulation weight), depending on the desired viscosity and formulation system. Coapur 830 W should be stored between 5°C and 40°C and protected from freezing. With its strong thickening efficiency, excellent film formation, and environmental compliance, Coapur 830 W serves as a reliable rheology modifier for modern waterborne paints and coatings.
Polyurethane Thickener Hiresol 852
Product Brochure
| Usage/Application | Paint |
| Brand | Hiresol |
| Purity | 99 |
| Grade | Industrial |
| Packaging Size | 200 kg |
Hiresol 852 is a high-performance, nonionic urethane associative thickener designed for water-based coatings and paints. Engineered to deliver excellent rheology control, it offers a balanced response under both low and high shear conditions. Ideal for formulators seeking improved flow, leveling, sag resistance, and film build, all while maintaining gloss and stability.
Key Features & Benefits| Feature | Benefit / Performance |
|---|---|
| Pseudoplastic rheology | Allows easy application (brush / spray) yet resists sag on vertical surfaces. |
| Versatile shear response | Maintains good viscosity at low shear (preventing sagging) and stable viscosity at high shear (during pumping or spraying). |
| Enhanced film build & hiding power | Supports thicker single-coat application, reduces number of coats required. |
| Excellent gloss development | Produces smooth surfaces with high sheen. |
| Improved spatter resistance | Reduces paint splash / spatter during application (brush or roller). |
| Water and alkali resistance | Good durability in alkaline or moist environments. |
| Stability in storage | Minimal viscosity drift over time; good shelf life. |
| Microbial resistance | Less prone to degradation in formulations exposed to microbial contamination. |
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Active solids | ~ 25% by weight |
| Viscosity at 25 °C | ~ 2,000 to 5,500 cP |
| Density (25 °C) | ~ 1.032-1.036 g/cm³ |
| pH | ~ 5–8 |
| Ionic Character | Nonionic |
| Volatile content | Water/Butyl diglycol mix (roughly 80/20) |
-
