Triethanolamine 99% is a high-purity alkanolamine combining the properties of amines and alcohols, widely used as an emulsifier, neutralizer, pH adjuster, and corrosion inhibitor in multiple industries.
It acts as a weak organic base that reacts with acids to form salts and soaps, thereby stabilizing formulations that require both hydrophilic and lipophilic balance.
-
High purity (≥ 99%) ensures consistency and performance
-
Excellent emulsifying and neutralizing capability
-
Enhances stability of emulsions and dispersions

Triethanolamine (TEA 85 %) is a clear, viscous, hygroscopic liquid with a mild ammoniacal odour. It is chemically defined as 2,2′,2″-nitrilotriethanol (CAS No. 102-71-6) and typically consists of a minimum 85 % pure triethanolamine by mass, with the balance comprising water and minor permissible impurities. Typical physical properties include a specific gravity of approximately 1.12-1.13 at 20 °C, and a freezing point near 17-18 °C.
This grade is broadly used as a multifunctional chemical intermediate and additive. It serves as a neutralising agent, buffering agent, emulsifier, surfactant precursor and corrosion inhibitor across multiple sectors. In construction applications it is used in cement and concrete systems to enhance grinding efficiency and early strength development; in coatings and emulsions it contributes pH control, film formation and dispersibility; in detergents and cleaners it offers wetting, foaming and emulsification; and in metalworking fluids it functions as a chelator and stabiliser.
TEA 85 % is compatible with aqueous systems, alcohols and a variety of surfactants, resins, and formulations.
